HEINZMANN AUSTRALIA RELEASES ITS 3rd GENERATION CONTROLLER – Si-TEC³
A new release of the world’s only digital governor with fully integrated generator functions.
For over 30 years HEINZMANN Australia has been forging the way with our unique Si-TEC control philosophy, which empowers customers to unlock the full potential of their steam turbine operational capabilities. The power generation industry is continuously changing and driving the requirements of controls to be more efficient, and flexible whilst maintaining its robust configurations and safety specifications. While Heinzmann Australia is extremely proud of the Si-TEC range of products and their capabilities, we are endlessly improving our products to remain at the forefront of the power generation industry with our cutting-edge technology.
After intense collaboration with our distributors and customers alike as well as years of R&D, Heinzmann Australia is proud to release the new Si-TEC³! The launch of this product is highly anticipated not only by Heinzmann Australia but by the loyal following of worldwide customers that have used it in the field for decades.
About the Si-TEC³
With more than 4000 systems now in operation throughout Australia, Asia & internationally, the Si-TEC control is used in wide range of Islanded or Co-generation applications for condensing, back pressure and controlled-extraction steam turbines, as well as genset (diesel and gas engine) applications. Exciting new advancements introduced into the 3rd generation Si-TEC include the new main processor - MPC 5777C used widely for industrial and automotive industry control applications requiring advanced performance & communications. Additionally, the Si-TEC³ now incorporates 64GB SD Card for dual-dynamic on-board logging and an ethernet port providing seamless communication for both Modbus TCP- IP as well as “Fast Tune” protocols.
We cannot gloss over the new analog inputs and outputs with 16-bit resolution for enhanced accuracy or the additional two relay outputs for dedicated volt raise and volt lower to AVR. The Si-TEC³ now also incorporates an increased baud rate up to 115 kbps in the Modbus port, real time clock for accurate time stamping and new time start sequence based on Turbine Temperature or Start Sequence based on Shutdown Timeout. Now we are starting to get a sense of the enhancements that now feature in the state-of-the-art Si-TEC³, but we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the speed sensor with software selectable for MPU Sensor or a range of Proximity (Active) Sensors and the Automatic actuator feedback calibration for Heinzmann actuators, providing ease and accurate feedback calibration setup. This update in technology and design will ensure that Heinzmann Australia will continue to lead the steam turbine and power generation control industry for many years to come.
Heinzmann Australia’s Managing Director Christopher Staff stated:
